There
is no statement on their web site saying that they honored the first
amendment separation of church and state. Apparently that is
not important to them. Quite the opposite is the case.
Here's a quote from their web site:
Become
A Church Liaison
GOD’S WORD clearly states that He will bless those who bless Him and that the
nation that honors Him will be honored among the nations. Charles Finney
reiterated that Word when he said, "The Church must take right ground in
regards to politics . . . God will bless or curse the nation according to the
[political] course Christians take." So why, in America today, do we see
the social fabric of society being torn away at the seams? The answer is simple:
We have neglected the Biblical principles of sound government that God ordained
for America. Can we expect God’s blessing if we neglect His principles and
abandon our stewardship responsibilities? Of course not. God, therefore, expects
us to take part in the political process so that righteous men are placed in
positions of authority. Americans must remember the words of John Quincy Adams,
who said, "The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it
connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the
principles of Christianity."

"The
words of John Quincy Adams . . ." They
give the impression that president Adams was one of the Founding
Fathers. HE WAS NOT. He was nine years old in
1776. He was the sixth U.S. president, 1825-1829.
"We
have neglected the Biblical principles of sound government that God ordained for
America." What do you suppose that
means?
"God,
therefore, expects us to take part in the political process so that righteous
men are placed in positions of authority."
And
in Exodus, Chapter twenty-one, the Christian Bible condones human slavery - - endorses capital punishment -
- condemns to death anyone who strikes or curses a parent - - says its OK to
sell your daughter into sexual slavery - - and gives her new owner permission to
beat her with a stick as long as she recovers in a day or two.
John
Adams, the country's second president, was drawn to the study of law but faced
pressure from his father to become a clergyman. He wrote that he
found among the lawyers "noble and gallant achievements," but among
the clergy, the "pretended sanctity of some absolute
dunces." Late in life he wrote: "Twenty times in the
course of my late reading, have I been upon the point of breaking out.
This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in
it!"
It
was during Adam's administration that the Senate ratified the Treaty of Peace
and Friendship, which states in Article XI that "the government of the
United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian
Religion."

IRS
does not gag clergy NPO agreement is being violated
Church
leaders are always free to say anything they want. The
issue is that those church leaders entered into a contract with IRS.
That contract says, in essence, we will grant you special non profit
status. You in turn, must agree not to use your church for the
purpose of influencing political elections. If
you would like to attempt to influence elections, you are free to so and you may
join the thousands of other who are now doing so; however you will no longer be
granted special financial privileges. You will have to abide by the same
rules as other political activist groups.
