Wakeup Call ... Stepping Out of the Collective Mind: We were each born into a collective, already created social structure° that is based upon a set of group-accepted beliefs and behavior patterns. Most people are content to live their lives according to the dictates and traditions of the group into which they were born. The Possibility Thinkers: In every group there are always those who just can't seem to stay within the pre-defined structures. These are the unrecognized geniuses, the possibility thinkers, the rebels, the misfits, and the quasi-criminals who, collectively, are often referred to as the lunatic fringe.° If you look back into history you'll find that, time after time, individuals (or small groups lead by a dynamic individual) have produced changes so radical that the social collective was forced to change. Galileo, Columbus, and Einstein and are just three examples. Tyrants such as Hitler, Stalin and Hussein have turned the world upside down. Inventions such as the steam engine, radio, television, and computers also force the collective to change. Imagine what your life would be like without our Founding Fathers and the American Revolution. Throughout history, change has been the norm. Concrete Boxes: Symbolically speaking, religious beliefs systems have been stuck in concrete boxes for centuries. The conservative end of Christianity has proclaimed itself to be the one and only true religion. It has also claimed itself to have exclusive access to God, and now, via the forced motherhood issue, it is in the process of attempting to force its ways onto everybody else. For centuries, religious leaders have told their followers stories that are simply not true. If history is any indication of present beliefs, then many of the things we now accept as real will turn out to be false. Change Is Normal: Like it or not, change is normal -- change is inevitable. Changes are happening all around you, right now, today. You can fight against these changes, but you can't stop them. Those who fight change are wasting their time defending the un-defendable. The two core beliefs in the abortion controversy are classic examples of church leaders defending the un-defendable. u God's Conception-Magic Act Is True° and u A human Being Is His/her Physical Body° Some Recent Observations: The greatest and most profound changes that we are being exposed to are in the area of awareness of how the universe functions. The latest findings in astronomy, sub-atomic physics, and quantum physics are exposing us to concepts and perspectives on reality that boggle the present-day, linear, physically limited, human mind. Here are some of the statements that scientists are now making: u There is no such thing as physical matter. u Everything is energy. u Everything is part of a unified whole. u Human experiences are a function of consciousness. u Thoughts are the first cause of our physical experiences. u The universe is not a static solid, out-there thing that controls our experiences, rather, it's a dynamic array of possibilities that are determined by consciousness. u Ninety-five percent of known universe is invisible to human senses. u Whatever created our universe transcends human understanding. u The observers affect the observed. u The human mind is incapable of examining that which transcends physical reality. u The consciousness that you call yourself is not in or part of or a function of your physical, human body. u Scientific research has been unable to find the source of consciousness. The Inevitable Clash with Christianity: When the carved-in-stone beliefs put out by Christian religious leaders, bump up against the dynamic concepts such as those stated above, conflicts are inevitable. The Christian, forced motherhood (anti-abortion) war and Christian Creationism versus scientific evolution are just two of these conflicts. The Harmony with the Eastern Philosophies: None of the above-noted, scientific findings conflict the Eastern philosophies. Many of them directly support the beliefs that the Eastern philosophies have been teaching for centuries. Forum for Change: The forced motherhood controversy (anti-abortion) is actually a forum for the evolution of human consciousness. It's one of today's major catalysts for human, social transformation. Of course this conflict is about abortion, but it's also about much more than that. On the higher, grander scheme of things, this conflict offers an opportunity for us, as a global society, to re-examine the unprovable assumptions (the illusions) that we believe and act upon as if they were provable truths. On the higher, grander scheme of things, the anti-choice leaders are forcing us to examine our own ignorance, our arrogance, and naiveté° -- to re-examine the unprovable assumptions (the illusions) that we believe and act upon as if they were provable truths. They are forcing us to look at ourselves and see that much of what we believe about reality has absolutely nothing to do with reality.° The abortion conflict is a wakeup call and a blessing in disguise. For that, we owe the no-choice people a word of thanks. THANK YOU ! . Broadening Our Perspective: Our goal is not to make anyone wrong, but rather, to show that everyone is right and to show that their rightness, although a vital part, is only one part of a greater truth. Before coming to any "carved-in-stone" conclusions around the forced motherhood issue, (abortion) we would do well to consider all the known factors involved. We need to consider the environmental, the social and the political contexts° in which we live. We need to consider the long-term consequences of our actions.° We need to reconsider a long list of cherished illusions and assumptions.° We need to re-answer such questions as: What is the purpose of government? What is the purpose of religion? How do religion and government interrelate?° We need to consider relating in a cooperation-partnership mode° instead of our current dominator-manipulator mode. Those on both sides of this issue need to look at the people on the other side of this issue as fellow humans with a different point of view. If the religious theory of reincarnation° is true, (and the overwhelming evidence points in the direction that it is) then: William Shakespeare was correct in saying, "All the world is a stage." We are all, every single one of us, simply actors on the stage called planet Earth. We are all aspects of one infinite source of all that we commonly call God. What triggers changes? We change the way we do things when circumstances (the context°) changes and when new information becomes available to us. As an analogy, let's look at why our ancient ancestors made boats out of wood? Aside from the fact that, in most locations, wood was a readily available material, our ancestors made boats out of wood because wood floats. Today we make boats out of material that, in and of itself, does not float. What is the difference? Awareness of why things float. Today, we know that flotation is related to the weight of the water displaced and has nothing to do with the material used to make the boat. The Flat Earth Becomes Round: Is it not equally as appropriate to make changes in our belief systems when new information becomes available to us? In the days when God's instantaneous, supernatural, transcendental, conception magic act° was introduced into the Christian belief system, the people who created that story also believed that the Earth was flat. They believed that physical reality was like a three-layered cake with themselves on a flat Earth, with God sitting on a throne in a place above the clouds called heaven and the devil in hell beneath their feet. They believed that if a boat sailed too far out into the ocean that it would fall off the Earth. Can you find anyone today who still believes that religious fairytale? Conception Magic: Then what about the conception fairytale that these same men created. Is in not time to re-examine that story?° In response to our request for a re-examination, we hear words like, "It's a religious truth, and you can't question God." When we examine the evidence, it turns out that God's conception magic act is unprovable fairytale and belongs in the same category as the tooth fairy story. It's not in the Bible. It's simply a story that was made up by our superstitious ancestors as part of their attempt to explain the unexplainable. But, don't believe what we are telling you. Examine the evidence° for yourself. When one examines the unprovable beliefs that have been piled on top the wonderful, practical, and easily understandable teaching of Jesus, one has to wonder where reality is in the right wing faction of the Christian religion. It's time to add conscious thought to one's spiritual beliefs. It's time for the real Christians to take back Christianity! . |
