"An
Interview with the Devil,"
° Satan,
or Big D
as he likes to call himself,*[1]
is offering a monolog on several
Biblical verse and their meaning to the anti-abortion leaders.

Big D is actually an Angel
of Light
whose mission is to expose the dark side for what it is. He/She
shines the God-Light of Love, Inclusion, and Oneness into the pit of illusion,
separations, anger, and fear.

...and
wouldn't you think that God, in His infinite wisdom, would just plain say when
He wants a new human life to begin? Perhaps He could just say
something simple and easy to understand like:
"The
Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the
breath of life; and man became a living soul." (Genesis 2:7)
Or
even
"The
Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me
life." (Job 33:4)
Or
perhaps
"…Thus
says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you
and you shall live… Ezekiel 37:1-10
But
no, He doesn't say anything that easy to understand. Instead, He
finds a fear-driven, sexually-repressed, anti-abortionist somewhere and secretly tells
this guy. . . It's got to be a guy, because women aren't that
stupid.
At
any rate, He tells this guy about this mysterious,
instantaneous, supernatural, transcendental magic act where He (God) transforms
every uniting human egg and sperm into a brand new, never-before-existing,
separate, complete, eternal, everlasting, sovereign, human being.
And,
as part of His magic act, He creates each new human as an egg, or each egg as an
new human being, or both at the same time, or something else; we're not
quite sure what happens, except that the results are that every pregnant
human egg has the same rights that you and I have. Not only that,
this pregnant egg even has more rights than the women in whose body it
resides. God also tells this anti-abortionist it's OK to force every
pregnant woman to turn that egg into a baby.
Only
problem is that God doesn't bother to tell the other six billion humans about
His magic act. He
doesn't mention it anywhere in the Bible, and he doesn't tell this guy
about the dire consequence
of preaching about things that are not in the Bible° as
if they were included. And then He (God) hides Genesis 2:7 and Job 33:4,
and several other relevant Biblical passages from from
this anti-abortionist. Neither does God tell this guy the He (God)
throws roughly sixty-percent of his newly created human beings into the
cosmic trash barrel°
before they get a chance to grow much beyond the pregnant egg stage.
Next, He tells the guy to go out and get people to do anything
and everything possible to force women, willing or not,
to be baby factories,
including lying, harassment, vandalism, arson, and murder. Then He
(God) tells the guy to get some other guys to get up on TV and beg for money so that,
in an already overcrowded
world,° they can force more women to produce more
unwanted babies. Remember now that this
anti-abortionist can't see that every day, 40,000 already-born children
starve to death or die of curable diseases, and he can't see Genesis 2:7 or Job 33:4. or Ecclesiastes
11:5, RSV *

And
everyone just goes along with the game until, one day, this little kid about
eight years old comes along. The kid immediately sees the rouse for
what it is, and because he doesn't know that it's blasphemy to questions a
revered leader's proclamations, he starts asking this anti-abortionist leader some really tough
questions like:

How come God wants you to
let all those already-born babies die while you spend all that time, money, and effort chasing
legal rights for pregnant eggs?
How come God wants you to
do or endorse or condone all those evil things, like lying, harassment, arson, and murder?
If it's such a bad thing,
how come God made sex so powerful, so pleasurable, and so compelling?
How come you don't work
toward making sex safe instead of trying to stop sex?
Is it that you can't see
Genesis 2:7 or Job 33:4. or Ecclesiastes 11:5, RSV, or are you intentionally
defying God's own words clearly written in your Christian
Bible?
Have you ever been
wrong?° When you were being wrong, did you know you were wrong? Is it possible
that you could be wrong about something right now?

The
Anti-abortionist is taken aback by the questions. He gets all flustered
and demands that the boy stop talking, but the kid ignores him and asks more
questions.

What is this spirit that the Bible so often refers
to?** How does it
relate to the physical body? Am I my
physical body or am I that spirit which God says enters a body at first
breath and then goes back to God at death?

was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes

If a woman aborts a human embryo,
is she killing a person or is she simply saying: "Spirit,
I'm not ready to be a mother, so I'm not going to build a body for you
to come into. Perhaps at some later time we can get together."?
The billions of people who
believe in reincarnation don't believe your conception
magic act° story.
They believe that
they are and have always
been eternal beings.
They believe that they simply inhabit a series of replaceable, human bodies. How come they don't
have the right to practice their religion?
Where did this
instantaneous, supernatural transcendental magic story come from? Do you have any proof that it's true?
Do you have any proof that
what the reincarnation
religions teach°
is not true?
Do
you have any proof that the Christian Bible is incorrect in Genesis 2:7, Job
33:4, and
Ezekiel
37:1-10
where God clearly say that life begins with the breath? Perhaps you
might try not breathing for about ten minutes. Then you just
might notice that God has created a very special relationship between breath
and life.
Are you so insecure in your faith that you must use
lies, harassment, intimidation, violence, threats of violence,
arson, and murder to force others to practice your religion?
Is the god you worship really so small that he can
fit into only one religion? Is your god so weak
that he needs your help to punish the unfaithful?
Are you sure it was God
that told you this magic story about pregnant eggs? Do you think it's possible that
the god who told you this story wasn't really God, but someone pretending
to be
God?
Is it possible for Satan to disguise himself as
one of God's religious leaders?
And how would you know the
difference between the real God and someone pretending to be
God? Perhaps you should go home and re-read the Bible. If you actually read it,
you'd find some answers there.

At
this point, the anti-abortionist raises a cross to the kid and says that no
child so young can have so many questions. He ignores the boy's
questions and calls him one of Satan's
agents. The kid just laughs and then says the real kicker. He quotes
another passage from the no-choicer's own Bible:

“And
whoever shall cause one of these little ones who believes in me to stumble, it is
better for him that an ass’s millstone were hanged on his neck, and that he
were thrown into the sea.” Mark 9:42

Then
the boy says, “You’re encouraging your followers to engage
in criminal behavior based on a completely unprovable, fabricated fairytale that
contradicts God’s words in Genesis 2:7 of your own Bible.
You
do know the consequences of
adding false stories to the Bible,° don't
you? Sounds to me like you are condemning yourself and all those
people who blindly follow you to burn forever in Hell."
“Looks
like you have a serious decision to make right now.
Which of these three choices feels right to you?
1) Pray for an asses millstone to show up real soon, tie it
around your neck and have someone throw you into the sea;
2) Continue your deception and spend eternity burning in hell;
or 3) Mend your wicked ways and pray to the
real God for forgiveness.”
If
you choose to stop your lies and stop defying God, you'll need
to pray for forgiveness, and then you’ll also need to make
amends to you fellow humans by telling the truth, the whole
truth and only the truth about abortion.
