The following few paragraphs will give you information that you've probably never heard before.

Here are five of the core, unprovable assumptions that anti-abortion leaders proclaim to be completely true. If even ONE of these five assumptions is not also verifiable, factual reality, then passing anti-abortion laws constitutes religious tyranny, and enforcing such laws is a disguised form of religious persecution.
`

When the anti-abortionists use the word “conception,” they are not referring simply to the biology of male and female cells uniting. They are referring to an additional process -- a process where God steps in and, by an act of instantaneous, supernatural, transcendental magic, transforms every uniting human egg and sperm into an eternal, everlasting life-spirit called a human being.
`
`
They believe that God magically transforms every uniting egg and sperm into a new, separate, sovereign, individual, human being. Where that union occurs is irrelevant. It could be in a woman's womb, in a laboratory petri dish or as part of a freak accident on the sidewalk in front of Macy's. They believe this brand new human being did not exist the moment before conception, but will continue to exist forever more. Therefore, from the anti-choice viewpoint, life begins at conception.

With absolutely no evidence to support their claim, anti-abortionists declare that, at conception, God creates each human being as his/her physical body (in the form of a fertilized egg). In spite of the fact that the egg has been a integral part of the woman's body since her birth and in spite of the fact that the egg cannot survive on its own, they simply proclaim the fertilized egg to be a complete, independent human being.

Based on this fantasy declaration, they proclaim that anything which interrupts the life of that egg is an act of murder. Next, they say, "Because ending the life of an egg is murder, abortion (RU-486, and stem cell research) should be illegal."
`
`
These same people who declare they are their physical bodies go on to proclaim that, at death, by another act of God’s transcendental magic, they suddenly become something other than their earthly bodies and go someplace above the clouds to live forever without their physical bodies. Again, there is no scientific evidence whatsoever to support this transformation from “humans who are their bodies” into “beings who are something other than their bodies.”

There is absolutely no proof whatsoever
that any of these four fairy tales are factual reality

These beliefs directly contradict the religious beliefs of millions of their fellow Christians as well as the religious beliefs of billions of non-Christians who believe they are eternal, divine beings who temporarily inhabit human bodies. This minor detail is completely ignored by the anti-abortion leaders. Here's the fifth absurdity:

Jews, Moslems, Mormons, and the billions of humans (such as Hindus and Buddhists) who believe in reincarnation do not deserve the right to practice their own religions. According to the anti-abortionists, all non-Christians are heathens who must be converted to the Christian faith and be baptized. Otherwise, God will abandon these people and refuse them access to heaven.

The Anti-abortionists oppose stem cell research because it uses human embryonic tissue and, as you know, they are attempting to pass legislation that would criminalize this research and punish a researcher with a ten-year jail term and a one million dollar fine.

In the words of one anti-abortionist, Ken Connor, president of Research Family Council, "We believe very strongly that people should not be discriminated against based on age or location in a petri dish. Stem cells can only be derived by killing the tiniest and most helpless of human beings."

Connor's statement (typical of the anti-abortion leaders) assumes that all five, of the unprovable, anti-abortionist fantasies are actual provable reality. (Those assumptions are described above)

Because these five assumptions are completely fabricated fantasies, the forced-motherhood peddlers are obviously proposing still another round of religious tyranny. And, in the process, are intending to sacrifice the lives and health of millions of their fellow humans.

This is definitely not pro-life. It's pro-death-and-misery!
